Breaking news: Copies of Mass Effect 3 will be falling from the sky (literally!)
This is probably one of the most bizarre and exciting video game stunts I’ve ever heard of. Electronic Arts may not be perfect, but you’ve gotta hand it to them: this is definitely a cool idea. Mass Effect 3 is already getting tons of hype, but EA isn’t finished just yet. If you happen to be at the right place at the right time, you may score yourself a free copy simply by waiting for one to fall out of the sky.
Wait, what? It’s that easy?
According to a report in USA Today, EA is tethering copies of Mass Effect 3 to weather balloons and launching them into space. They’ll be released in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, and Paris, so if you live in one of those areas, you’re in luck - an untold number of games are going to float back to Earth!
If you’re curious as to how you’ll know where exactly you’ll need to be standing, EA is planning to attach a GPS tracking device to each game, which you will be able to follow on MassEffect.com. Good luck, gamers!
