Oh the troubles of a poor student gamer…

Tomb Raider and Gears of War: Judgment both came out these past few weeks and I have had no money to buy them. However, I did manage to save up to pre-order BioShock Infinite (I had an Amazon gift card to spend!), so that will be one new game I’ll be getting soon.

As for the other two games I had been anticipating, can anyone tell me (here or in a message): how are they?

Gears of War: Judgment - Possible Box Art?

Neither Microsoft or Epic Games have officially announced if this is the official box art, but evidence is pretty high that it is. This image appeared on NeoGAF (that is the European PEGI rating in the bottom left corner), and if you go on the Xbox.com page for Gears of War: Judgment the image on the upper left corner looks seemingly identical to the picture above.

A lot of people have not been happy with video game box arts lately for some of our favorite series (BioShock Infinite, anybody?). Might be a bit generic and prequels don’t always particularly pique my interest, but I adore Baird and I am glad he will have his chance to shine a bit more in the series. Every other character has had their moment!

Someone else posted this image in the NeoGAF thread as well. Has a lot more spirit to it, but I’m not sure where it is from - fan-made or special edition cover, perhaps? Either way, Epic Games should use it for something!

Gears of War: Judgment is releasing March 19 for Xbox 360.

Update on Game Informer’s July Cover of the Next Gears of War:

So turns out…

The new installment in Epic’s billion-dollar franchise is Gears of War: Judgment. The July cover of Game Informer shows series mainstay Damon Baird shackled as the Locust hordes rage around him. Augustus “Cole Train” Cole, soldier and world-famous Thrashball player, will be on the second cover image in the same precarious situation.

I’m about to have a huge fan girl moment - I have a secret crush on Baird. ^^

Curious though…what happened to Marcus Phoenix? Guess we’ll find out in the next issue!

Thanks for the update, Game Informer.
