This guy’s girlfriend loves Super Mario Bros., so he came up with a creative way to propose to her. Check it out!

If you love games like Super Mario Brothers, then this Kickstarter project is for you! Another Castle combines classic platforming gameplay with the randomness of a roguelike. It’ll be available for multiple platforms if it gets funded: Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, & OUYA. You play as Andy, a dude who’s looking for a random item, whether it be a kick ass magical sword, a wizard hat, or royalty. To find the item you must run, jump, and fight your way through a randomly generated castle. When you beat the game, you sadly won’t get the item, as it’s always in another castle. Instead, the item is now unlocked and can be found in future playthroughs of the game. It sounds really awesome, so if you’re sold on the idea please help contribute to the project here or if you need some more convincing, try an early prototype of the game here.

Dorkly Bits: The Night Before Mario’s Christmas.
Much of the earliest traffic on the Internet was dedicated to nerds’ favorite pastimes, two of the most popular being “video games” and “fucking with other nerds.” And when these two passions inevitably combined, a spectacular amount of disinformation was soon spread about video games around the Internet: fantastic hoaxes, artfully constructed of lies, built on a foundation of doctored screenshots.
Here are some of the most famous examples.
Tanooki Tonic (Super Mario Bros. 3 cocktail)
Ingredients:
1 part Kahlua
1 part Baileys Irish Creme
1 part BrandyDirections: Chill ingredients and layer in a tall glass. Kahlua first, then Baileys, then brandy. Drink, serve, then fly away. According to Mel, the drink is sweet but deceiving just like a trickster tanooki!
